The ZARN4075-TV-A is a high-precision combined needle roller and axial cylindrical roller bearing manufactured by INA (Schaeffler), engineered to accommodate radial loads and heavy axial loads simultaneously in compact machine tool assemblies.
Dimension Specifications: Bore diameter 40 mm, outer diameter 75 mm, overall width 60 mm. Chamfer dimension r=1 mm. Tolerance class P4, meeting ISO 286 precision standards for high-running accuracy. The integrated structure combines radial needle roller section and axial cylindrical roller segment, saving installation space compared with separate bearing arrangements.
Material Properties: Inner ring, outer ring and rolling elements adopt high-carbon chromium bearing steel 100Cr6. After heat treatment, surface hardness reaches 62–66 HRC, offering outstanding wear resistance, contact fatigue strength and dimensional stability. The TV suffix indicates a glass-fibre reinforced polyamide PA66 cage, featuring low friction, good impact resistance and stable performance at continuous operating temperatures up to 120°C.
Manufacturing Process: Raw steel undergoes die forging to optimise grain flow, followed by turning for near-net shape machining. Controlled quenching and tempering deliver consistent hardness and minimise thermal distortion. Precision grinding and superfinishing on raceway surfaces reduce surface roughness, lowering friction, noise and premature fatigue risk. Superfinishing improves lubricant retention on contact surfaces.
Service Life: The basic rated dynamic load rating is used to calculate L10 service life per ISO 281 standard. Under standard operating conditions (proper lubrication, clean environment, normal load), the bearing achieves L10 life of 20,000 operating hours. Service life is reduced by contamination, insufficient lubrication, misalignment and excessive shock loads.
Applications: Widely used in machine tool spindles, indexing tables, rotary axes and precision automation equipment. Ideal for machine tool industry because of compact size, high rigidity and combined radial-axial load capacity.
Maintenance & Installation: Recommended grease re-lubrication interval is 2000 working hours; use high-speed bearing grease with EP additives. Keep mounting surfaces clean and free of debris. Check raceway, roller and cage regularly for wear. During installation, ensure precise alignment to avoid tilting overload. Apply controlled tightening torque, and run a no-load test after assembly to verify vibration and temperature.
