The ZARN2052-TV-A is a compact high-precision combined needle roller and axial cylindrical roller bearing from INA (Schaeffler), designed to support combined radial and heavy axial loads within a minimal installation envelope, widely selected for precision rotary units.
Dimension Specifications: Bore diameter 20 mm, outer diameter 52 mm, overall width 38 mm. Chamfer dimension r = 0.6 mm. Tolerance class P4 in compliance with ISO 286. The integrated bearing assembly merges radial needle roller and axial cylindrical roller components, eliminating the need for separate bearing sets and reducing assembly complexity.
Material Properties: Inner ring, outer ring and rolling elements are manufactured from high-carbon chromium bearing steel 100Cr6. After heat treatment, surface hardness reaches 62–66 HRC, providing excellent contact fatigue resistance, wear resistance and stable dimensional performance. The TV suffix represents a glass fibre reinforced PA66 polyamide cage, delivering low friction, good shock resistance and continuous operating temperature tolerance up to 120°C.
Manufacturing Process: Raw steel blanks are die-forged to refine internal grain structure. Precision turning achieves near-net forming. Controlled quenching and tempering guarantee uniform hardness and minimise thermal deformation. Raceway precision grinding and superfinishing reduce surface roughness, improving lubricant retention, lowering running noise and delaying fatigue failure.
Service Life: L10 service life is calculated following ISO 281 standard. Under standard operating conditions with proper lubrication and clean environment, the bearing provides 20,000 hours of rated L10 life. Contamination, inadequate lubrication, misalignment and overload are primary factors shortening bearing service life.
Applications: Primarily used for machine tool rotary tables, small indexing units, precision automation rotary actuators and miniature spindle assemblies. It is preferred in the machine tool and precision automation sectors for its high rigidity, compact footprint and capability to carry combined radial and axial loads.
Maintenance & Installation: Recommended grease re-lubrication interval is 2000 working hours; use EP high-speed bearing grease. Keep mating surfaces thoroughly clean before mounting. Realise precise alignment to prevent tilting stress. Apply calibrated tightening torque and perform no-load running test after installation to inspect temperature rise and vibration.
