The UPH395X425X18 FONKIN is a heavy-duty UPH series radial shaft lip seal manufactured by FONKIN, engineered for large-diameter industrial transmission shafts. Equipped with robust four-lip sealing structure and integrated dust exclusion edge, this oil seal delivers superior leakage prevention, low rotational friction and excellent anti-pollution performance, ideal for heavy machinery operating under dusty, high-temperature and variable-speed continuous working conditions.
Complying with ISO 6194 rotary shaft seal standards, accurate dimensional parameters: shaft diameter 395 mm, outer housing diameter 425 mm, total seal width 18 mm, mounting chamfer 2.0×45°, tolerance grade N standard industrial precision. Its oversized design matches large bearing housings of heavy equipment, with uniform compression deformation to maintain stable radial sealing pressure.
Seal main body and primary sealing lips adopt high-performance nitrile rubber NBR (NBR70 Shore A), featuring outstanding oil resistance, moderate heat resistance and low compression set. Reinforced skeleton uses cold-rolled SPCC steel plate with anti-rust phosphating treatment, providing rigid structural support to prevent seal deformation under assembly pressure. Auxiliary dust lips are reinforced wear-resistant fluorinated composite rubber to block sand, metal debris and moisture effectively.
Core production processes include metal skeleton stamping, skeleton surface anti-corrosion treatment, rubber injection vulcanization, precision lip trimming and dimensional inspection. High-temperature integrated vulcanization ensures tight bonding between rubber and metal; ultra-precision lip finishing minimizes contact friction torque to reduce shaft wear and heat generation.
Evaluated based on ISO 18069 seal durability standard, the UPH395X425X18 FONKIN achieves 7000-hour continuous service life under standard oil temperature, rated shaft linear speed and clean lubricant environment. Service life is mainly affected by shaft surface roughness, operating temperature, lubricant cleanliness, installation concentricity and external dust concentration.
This large-size FONKIN oil seal is widely applied in mining crushers, cement rotary kilns, metallurgical heavy roller equipment, large construction machinery gearboxes and wind turbine main transmission housings. Multi-lip structure prevents internal lubricant outflow and external particle intrusion, while stable radial force adapts long-term heavy-load rotation.
Complete seal inspection and supplementary grease filling every 350 operating hours; use EP industrial gear grease for lip lubrication, filling volume 2.5–3.0 g per seal. Keep shaft and housing surfaces clean before inspection; replace the seal immediately once oil leakage, lip abrasion or rubber aging occurs.
Before installation, polish shaft surface to standard roughness, clean housing cavity and check dimensional matching. Slide the seal evenly onto the shaft with dedicated pressing tool, avoid skew and hammer knocking; control mounting concentricity error below 0.03 mm/m. Conduct no-load running test after assembly; wear cut-resistant gloves to prevent rubber lip scratch during operation.
